The Green Lantern already has sequel plans in the pipeline, despite the first movie not even being released yet.
Actor Ryan Reynolds carries all the hopes of Warner Bros to make the superhero movie a success as there is rumoured to be not just one but two other movies in the worked.
Comic book fans won't get to see the actor in action as superhero Hal Jordan until next June (11), but executives are lining up two sequels for 2012 and 2013.
According to industry publication Variety, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix writer Michael Goldenberg has been tapped by Warner Bros. studio bosses to begin work on the Green Lantern 2 script.
